The very worst Payless location in the area. They didn't have my size in the shoes I wanted so it was suggested by the employee that I order them at the store, having them shipped to the store, to avoid shipping costs. I was told it would take 2-3 days for them to arrive and that I would be called when they did. Tomorrow will be 7 days since ordering the $50 pair of shoes and I still have not been contacted. I've called the store on several occasions to ask if they are in yet. The first time, I didn't even finish the first sentence before being told "I'm too busy for this, please call back in five minutes." I was okay with that response but didn't have the time to call back so I kept trying on different days and EVERY TIME I was told there was a line of customers and I would need to call back before even finishing my question. There is absolutely no way that every single time I call "there is a line of customers" because of all the times I have been in this store, I've never seen more than two customers at the register at once. I would have preferred to be greeted kindly, and asked if I could hold until they finished up with the in-store customers. Or they could have always taken my name and phone number down quickly and looked for the order after finishing up with their customers and called me back at their convenience. I was cut off every time. The last time I called I was so frustrated I hung up. She didn't have the time to find my order, but after explaining that they give me that excuse every time, she did have the time to tell me why my call wasn't important. I now have to drive 30 minutes out of my way to just SEE if my shoes are there because I have had no luck getting an answer over the phone. Please.. Hire a new staff... Because the Somers Point and Hammonton locations have WONDERFUL, customer service oriented teams.
Not much selection for men, but that's to be expected. I wore through the soles of a pair of shoes I got here in a couple months, but, again, they were cheap
