The food didn't take long to come out, but there was some shouting coming from the kitchen. For appetizers, we had rib tips. They were very tender and juicy.
Service was Poor. I had to get up and get menus myself. We waited 10 min before somebody came to us with chips and menus. The waiter must of forgot our food because it was partially cold. We asked for butter and he never came back so I had to go ask the hostess if he had seen may waiter. The hostess went and got us butter. I asked for a refill of iced tea and when he gave it to me there was no straw, when I realized it he was walking away and never came back so I asked another waitress for one she didn't have any so again the hostess got me one. The sad part is they weren't even busy and now I know why. I still tipped 10% and gave the other 10% to the hostess. I asked another couple outside how their service was wondering if it was just us. They said theirs was equally bad, no refills and their waitress never came back except to give them their check. The ribs and food were good but because of the service I don't think we will be back.
Having not been to or heard much about a Famous Dave's before, I was taken off-guard by the decor and theme of the restaurant. For those like me, the interior was designed to look like a log cabin, and on the wall were paintings and signs related to a hunting lodge. There was even a big fireplace. It was a pretty cozy atmosphere.
We had been going there for years and we are always satisfied with our meals. Their kids meals are very good. All hamburgers are very tasty. The bun is so good. They also have the best margaritas in the area believe it or not. The bread pudding is my all time favorite. CATFISH fingers are so yummy! My only criticism is the salt in the ribs, if they will tone that down a notch they would be so much better. Also they got rid of some of our favorite menu items like the pita salmon spread appetizer. Ice cream sundaes are also extra good!
When I ordered my Jacked-and-Stacked burger, the server never asked how I wanted it made, and it was made well done. I didn't have a problem with that, but if you want more pink in your burger, you should specifically ask. The burger comes with fried onion rings on top, which was nice because it added a crunch to it, but there wasn't much onion flavor in them. I was satisfied with the burger overall. The fries we crisp, and I didn't have any issues with them.
Family night out and worst service ever. I don't know my server name since she never said. We waited 15 mins to meet the server another 10 mins for us to get out drinks. 45 mins for the appetizer and another 38 mins for the meal to come out. I would never come back to this place. Next time red robins . 1 star since I have to give a star but honestly 0 star is more so on the line. At least the food was ok and more so on the cold side.
When the server arrived, she brought a bowl of homemade chips. It was a good way to try out the barbecue sauces. They have six to choose from with varying levels of spiciness and sweetness.
Overall, I thought that while there are few hiccups here and there, the restaurant was pleasantly unconventional in its atmosphere and the food complemented the ambiance.
The server was attentive, friendly, and helpful, so great overall.
When we arrived, there wasn't a host at the front to greet us and seat us. We waited a few minutes until someone finally came to seat us, which I didn't appreciate. The restaurant was pretty dead when we went, so I guess they weren't expecting customers.
Lunch menu has a great variety at a great price and great portions. Food was so good. Cornbread super good. Even got dessert the bread pudding was awesome. Randy our server super friendly and on point.
